animal rights are important did you know that..... Eye and Skin irritancy tests are cruel and outdated. Companies use the Draize Test to determine the irritancy of household products and cosmetics including laundry soap, toilet cleaner and ink. Test substances are dripped into the eyes of restrained rabbits, and results are recorded over a period of three to twenty-one days. Reactions result in irritation, ulceration or blindness. Eventually the animals are destroyed or recycled into toxicity tests.
Some doctors criticize the Draize Test. Rabbit's eyes have thinner corneas, and are more susceptible to inflammation. In addition, the evaluation of irritancy is subjective: what is a severe reaction and what is non-irritating? Dr. Neal Barnard of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) condemns the Draize Test on these grounds.
testing on animals is crul animals should have rights too, just beacuse they are smaller than us gives us no rights to kill them for our cosmedics and stuff that we really dont need and even if we do need it they couold always test it on them selfs beacuse animals are just as important as humans .
